Journal, 1897-1898, kept by E.F. Morgan (1st mate) on board the bark CHARLES W. MORGAN of New Bedford, Mass, (sailing out of San Francisco, Calif.), for a voyage to the Pacific Ocean and Okhotsk Sea whaling grounds. Reports death at sea, shipwreck and disaster, contains whale stamps, whale oil inventory, made 4 ports-of-call, and spoke 16 other vessels.
